Developer: PlugInGuru
This is a truly unique sample-based library created by combining really interesting Chordal and Special Effect samples created by Sound Design guru Arne Schulze (made back in the 80’s!). Along with my team of 6 programmers, we created 210 patches using 91 soundsources that are gritty and powerful, inspiring (of course!) and bring new artistic colors to Omnisphere 2.2 for composers, DJs and producers of every genre to work with.
Listen to the audio demos, watch the patch walkthru video (and other support videos) and you will be impressed with what YOU can do after adding this amazing library to your arsenal!
GENRES: Trance / Industrial / Techno and virtually any style of dance music.
About the Programmer: I decided to take the “Team Voicing” approach to this library because of lessons I’ve learned over the years working as a member of Korg’s international voicing team. Different people will imagine different directions to take the same samples – so having more people involved will make a library of patches that is far more varied and unique than if one person made all of the patches. This makes the library have more value to YOU because of the different directions the library goes that it wouldn’t have gone otherwise. Airwave, ExoSun, Kid Anthem, Tim Dale, Jason Schoepfer and Taylor Harris created patches which I then added to my patches to make the final 210 patches! There are also 12 Multis in this library created by Jason Schoepfer (Rocky Mountain Sounds) and myself. They include a number of fun “Groove” based multis and even one that has a Kick, Snare and HiHat from OMG! Drums V2 sample library!
Library Specifics:
One of the SoundSources is called “AirBees” and Arne created this by layering over and over on a PPG this one recording of a bee flying around – then mixed in overdubs of his voice!! There are 59 “Instant Score” samples in this library and each one has an interesting story on how it came to exist!
Also!! In order to make this library even more unique, the whole voicing team used samples from my MegaMagic Dreams and MegaMagic Pads libraries to give this library a unique sound that borrowed very little from the existing factory library of Samples that most of my other libraries use.
